
Campbellsville, Kentucky-The 2012 season came to a halt for The University of Virginia's College at Wise, after another split decision in the second day of the Mid-South Conference Tournament. In game one the Cavaliers fought off four errors, to defeat 8th seed Rio Grande, 7-6. Chris Smith picked up the win for UVa-Wise. CJ McAndrews was perfect from the plate, while driving in a run.
In game two, the Cavaliers fell to the tournament's No.1 seed, Lindsey Wilson 6-2. UVa-Wise struggled to solve, the Blue Raiders' Jeremy Greene, who threw a complete game. McAndrews drove the only Cavalier runs of the day.
UVa-Wise ends the season with a 24-26 overall record, with a 8-12 mark in the Mid-South.
