Columbia, Kentucky- In what turned out to be a cold and windy day as the Cavs fell 6-5 to the Lindsey Wilson College Blue Raiders. A two-run double by Leandro Perez in the bottom of the second gave the Blue Raiders a 2-0 lead. The Cavs finally got on the board in the top of the fourth when Chaz Hall's single scored Kirk Jennings from second base. The Cavs scored another run in the top of the fifth when Tommy Meier reached on a single who advanced to second on Steven Allen sacrifice.Freddy Garay reached on an error that scored Meier from second, the Blue Raiders answered in the bottom of the fifth with one run. Meier doubled in the top of the sixth that gave the Cavs a 4-3 lead. The Blue Raiders answered back with a two run inning also to take an 5-4 advantage. Brian King collected his first hit of the series in the top of the seventh with a one run double. The Cavs looked to be cruising when three errors cost them a run in the bottom of the eight in which the Cavs fell victims of a 6-5 loss to the Blue Radiers. Meier went 3-5 on the day with two RBI. The Cavs fell to 7-9 on the year with 1-2 in Mid-South Conference play. The Cavs will travel Bristol, Va to take on the Virginia Intermont Cobras in a 7:00 p.m. matchup.
