Wise, Virginia -  With stadium improvements and the transition to NCAA Division II new admittance policies for all sporting events in which UVa-Wise charges will begin with the home football opener on Saturday. 

Starting with the 2012-2013 school year, VHSL Coaches Passes will no longer be honored at the gate.  However, the coach may request to be placed on the pass list by calling the UVa-Wise Compliance Office at (276) 376-3436 or via e-mail at tnyman@uvawise.edu.  In addition, no pedestrian traffic will be allowed in the upper lot directly behind the press box; the lot will be reserved for donors who have a tailgating pass.  For faculty, staff, and students attending the game please enter either the main campus gate or the main gate to Carl Smith Stadium.  Finally, beginning in 2013-2014 kids ages 5 and under will be admitted free to all contests while those ages 6-18 will be charged $1 per admittance.  For the 2012-2013 year, all individuals 18 and under will be admitted free to all UVa-Wise sporting events.
