Athens, West Virginia -  The UVa-Wise volleyball team dropped a four set match against host  Concord University on Tuesday.  The host Mountain Lions used a big night from Sarah Jones who recorded 15 kills to aid her club to a 25-16, 25-12, 23-25, 25-21 victory.

For the Cavaliers, Brittini Altmann handed out 24 assists as six different players posted kills for the visitors.  Freshman Courtney Kempf led all UVa-Wise players with eight kills while fellow freshman Maya Hamlett collected seven kills in the four set match.

With the loss, the Cavs drop to 0-5 on the season; UVa-Wise will return to action on Thursday when the team travels to the University of Pikeville for its Mid-South Conference opener.
