Wise, Virginia -  On Saturday, the UVa-Wise volleyball team hosted a tri-match with West Virginia Tech University and Bryan College.  In the opener the host Cavaliers posted a five set victory over the visiting Golden Bears 25-13, 25-18, 30-32, 20-25, and 15-13 to secure the school's first home victory of the season.  In the Cavaliers second match of the day, the visiting Lions from Bryan College posted a three set victory 26-24, 25-20, and 27-25 to sweep the tri-match.  Bryan defeated West Virginia Tech in the second match of the day to post two victories.

Following the tri-match, the Cavs are 2-8 overall.  UVa-Wise will return to action on Tuesday when the Cavaliers play host to the University of Rio Grande for a Mid-South showdown.
