Boiling Springs,  N.C.  -  NCAA Division I member Gardner-Webb broke open a six point game over the final 14 minutes of play to post a 77-58 exhibition victory over UVa-Wise on Monday.  Donta' Harper scored a game-high 22 points for the Bulldogs while teammate Tashan Newsome added 18 points in the victory.

For UVa-Wise, Paul Evans made six of ten shots to score a team-high 14 points.  Tyler Maggard added four, three point baskets to add 12 points for the Cavaliers.  As a team, UVa-Wise made nine, three point field goals but, were doomed by 18 turnovers.

The Cavs will return to action on Saturday when the team hosts Lincoln Memorial University in the Prior Center.  Tip-off is set for 4:00 p.m. and the action can be heard on www.uvawisecavs.com
