LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- UVa-Wise senior Chelsea Cluesman is the Mid-South Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, conference officials announced on Monday.

The weekly MSC honor is second of the season for Cluesman and the third of her career. This season, Cluesman also earned the award on Dec. 3.

In her only game last week, Cluesman recorded a double-double as the Cavaliers upset No. 25-ranked St. Catharine 71-64 on Saturday.

The Jonesville, Va., forward scored 24 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to help the Cavaliers beat their second ranked opponent of the season.

Cluesman made nine of her 19 shots and six of seven from the free throw line in the win. She added five assists. The double-double is Cluesman's team-leading sixth of the season.

Cluesman leads the Mid-South in scoring (19.5) and ranks sixth in the conference in rebounding (8.7). She is third in the conference in field goal percentage at 55.2 percent.

Nationally, Cluesman is eighth in scoring and 10th in field goal percentage.

With its win, UVa-Wise improves to 6-12 overall and 3-6 in the Mid-South. The Cavaliers will return to action on Thursday when the team travels to Williamsburg, Ky. for a 6:00 p.m. tip.

The next women's basketball player of the week award is scheduled to be announced on Monday, Jan. 28.
