Lebanon, Tenn. -  Cumberland University went on a 12-2 run over the final three minutes of the opening half en route to a 49-34 halftime advantage and an 88-66 victory.  The Bulldogs (8-12, 4-8 Mid-South) placed five players in double figure scoring and never trailed in posting only its second win in eight games.

The Cavaliers' (9-8, 5-7 Mid-South) Charles George scored a career high 25 points to lead all scorers as the freshman played all 40 minutes in the game.  Deon Boyce 12 points, Matt Day 10 points, and Paul Evans, 10 points also finished in double digit scoring for UVa-Wise.  The loss was the third consecutive loss for the Cavs who now hold a one game lead over Cumberland University for the final Mid-South Tournament spot.
