
St. Catharine, Ky. - St. Catharine College (11-10, 7-8 Mid-South) used a game-high 27 points from Arthur McMillian and seven blocks from Travis Wilkins to post a 71-63 victory over UVa-Wise (10-9, 6-8 Mid-South) at Lourdes Hall on Thursday.
A sloppy affair that saw the two schools combine to commit 54 turnovers was decided at the charity stripe. As a team, the Patriots connected on 90.5 percent in the win while the Cavaliers made just 63.6 of its attempts.
In the loss, UVa-Wise was led by Jermaine Wright who scored a season-high 21 points on 10-16 shooting. Javon Moore, 15, Darius Smith, 13, and Matt Day 10 also scored in double-figures
The victory earns St. Catharine a season-split in the series, UVa-Wise won the first meeting 68-61 in wise.
UVa-Wise will return to action on Saturday when the team travels to Georgetown for a 4:00 p.m. tip.
