COLUMBIA, Ky. - #12 Lindsey Wilson College took two of three games from visiting UVa-Wise this weekend in the Mid-South Conference baseball series opener for both schools.

Head Coach Jonathon Burton's club posted an 11-1 run-rule game one victory as the Blue Raiders (10-5, 2-1 MSC) scored 11 unanswered runs in the series opener.  Game two saw Lindsey Wilson score six unearned runs thanks to seven UVa-Wise to post a 6-0 victory.

In the series finale, senior right hander Justin Wilson tossed a three-hit, complete game, shutout for the Cavs (4-8, 1-2 MSC) to avoid the sweep.  Wilson was spotted a two run cushion in the first inning on an RBI double by Brett Hylton and an unearned run on a Lindsey Wilson error.  In the victory, Wilson fanned three while walking two in collecting his first mound victory of the year.

UVa-Wise will return to the diamond on Wednesday when the team travels to Montreat College for a nine inning affair.
