FRANKFORT, Ky. – UVa-Wise's Deon Boyce and Javon Moore each earned second-team all-conference honors at the annual Mid-South Conference banquet held prior to the start of the league tournament.

Boyce averaged 12.1 points and 13.9 rebounds a game en route to the honor.  Boyce garnered two weekly player of the week awards in his first season as a Cavalier.  Playing in only the second semester, Boyce did not qualify for the Mid-South Conference leader boards.  Had he qualified, Boyce would have led the league in rebounding.

Moore averaged 17.8 points per game to rank fifth in the Mid-South while finishing second in the league in steals with 2.53 a contest.  The sophomore scored a career-high 31 points in UVa-Wise's league victory over Rio Grande on November 29.  The guard missed the final five games of the regular season due to injury.

The Cavaliers will begin Mid-South Tournament play on Friday at 2:00 pm when the team takes on #1 seed and regular season champion Lindsey Wilson College.  You can hear the action on www.uvawisecavs.com or on 1350 AM WNVA in Wise County.
