CARROLLTON, GA –The UVa-Wise women's golf team opened its spring portion of the 2013 season this week at the University of West Georgia Invitational which was held at Sunset Hills Country Club.  UNC Pembroke took home the team crown with a two-day total of 632 to outpace second place Lincoln Memorial by 14 strokes.

Head Coach Leigh Clark's Cavaliers were led by freshman MaKenzie Cluesman who finished in 30th place with a two-day total of 185.  Sister Chelsea Cluesman finished in 32nd place with a score of 197 and Jamie Green's 208 placed her 33rd in the field. 

UVa-Wise will play its next tournament on March 24 when the team travels to London, Ky. for the SEKI/Mid-South Women's Tournament.
