Wise, Va. - The Lions took advantage of a cold shooting night and proved to have enough to take both halves to win. Bryan College finished the Appalachian Athletic Conference and regular season with the 62-52 men's basketball victory.

Josh Jordan and Adam Hood both contributed 13 points apiece for the top honors for the Highland Cavaliers (8-20/6-12 AAC). Jordan added 11 rebounds for a double-double. Pance Kecev chipped in 10 points. UVa-Wise shot just nine of 27 (33.3%) in the first half before fairing even worse in the second half, eight of 28 (28.6%).

Cody Christopher was the top scorer of the game with 16 tallies while Lamarr Shorts had a double-double of 15 points and 10 caroms for Bryan (13-15/9-9 AAC).

The home team led by as many as four points two times in the opening nine minutes before the contest was tied, 11-11. The Cavs edged back in front, 16-15, on a Festus Amarteifio layup but would turn out to be the final lead of the evening. Bryan scored the next five points before leading 27-20 at half.

The Lions would allow the Cavs to get back within six points five times in the later stanza but no closer to finish the 62-52 win.

Both teams will await the AAC seeding released on Sunday to find out their next opponents in the league tournament starting Wednesday.
