Louisburg, NC- The Highland Cavalier Golfers continued their 09 season when they traveled to Louisburg, North Carolina on March 22, and 23^rd for the Hurricane Fusillade Challenge. UVa-Wise finished seventh in the event as the trio of Austin Brown, Evan Sturgill, and Rhyne Hammitt all posted a score of 162. 

Brown, Sturgill, and Hamitt all tied for 26^th overall, Brown posted back to back scores of 81 to reach his 162, Sturgill posted the best score of the tournament for UVa-Wise when he shot a 78 on day one, while Rhyne Hammitt knocked four strokes over his first day score to post a 79 for day two.  Other Cav' scores were Shayne Dillon who shot a 173 and Matt Faircloth who posted a 198. 

The seventh place finish tied for the best finish of the season. UVa-Wise will return to the golf course on March 30^th when they compete in the Spring Reader Cup.
