
Alexandria, Va. - West Potomac High's Cole Walter signed to play collegeiately at UVa-Wise. The record-setting Wolverine quarterback will take his game to southwest Virginia to play for the Highland Cavaliers.
The Cavs who have finished in the NAIA Top 25 each of the past three years while compiling a 25-8 mark over that time.
Walter was selected All-Patriot District second team the past two seasons. He earned the team MVP as a senior. In his two-year varsity career for West Potomac, Cole passed for over 5,200 yards and 58 scoring passes. He set new standards for each school passing record and broke a 40-year old Virginia state record for completions in one game with 39.
Cole is the son of Travis and Pamela Walter and the grandson of Noel and Patricia Walter of Westmoreland County.
