Berea, KY- The Highland Cavalier Women's Cross Country team traveled to Berea, KY on Saturday to compete in the Berea College Invitational. The team was led by a top ten finish by Mary Katherine Phipps.

Phipps (Abingdon, VA) finished 8^th with a time of 21:46 for her best collegiate run. Kayla Balthis (Pound, VA) finished 24^th with a time of 23:00, close behind was Leslie Ann Hitt (Danville, VA) ran a 23:35 placing her 32^nd. Tamara Haack (Stephens City, VA) ran a 26:06 to finish out the times for UVa-Wise.

UVa-Wise will compete next on September 26^th at the Roanoke Invitational.
