Wise, Va. - After falling behind 7-0 in the first game, UVa-Wise came to life and would make quick work of the Pikeville College women's volleyball team. The Highland Cavaliers made it two-straight wins for the first time this season in the 3-0 defeat of the Bears.

UVa-Wise (4-10) captured the first contest, 25-20, and followed it with scores of 25-18 and 25-17 over Pikeville (2-8).

The sophomore frontline players Mikaela Anders (Galax, Va.) and Megan Funk (Fries, Va.) pounded a combined 25 kills on 60 attempts with two errors for a .383 hitting percentage. Anders downed 12 kills in 28 attempts while Funk added 13 kills on 32 tries. Both added two blocks apiece.
