
Wise, Va. - For the second night in a row and third-straight match, UVa-Wise came out on top on the women's volleyball court. The Highland Cavaliers took care of the Lady Cobras of Virginia Intermont in three-straight games, 3-0.
UVa-Wise improves to 5-10 on the season and 2-5 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. After falling by scores of 25-22, 25-21 and 25-16, Virginia Intermont drops to 1-10 and 0-6 in the AAC.

Anders had what has been a usual occurance with 14 kills in 24 attacks with
three errors for a .458 hitting percentage. She added two blocks. Kelley
Bumgarner handed out 27 assists. Megan
Funk chipped in five kills and Ruth Hoover added six digs. Autumn Chisenhall and Kayla Dougherty downed
four kills apiece.
The Lady Cobras received eight kills from Brandi Blessing and Kaitlin Cruthley.
UVa-Wise will have a week off before traveling to play Milligan College on
Sept. 29th for a 6:30 p.m. match.
