Bristol, Va. - Evan Sturgill paced the UVa-Wise men's golf team in the Virginia Intermont Invitational. The third-year golfer had the two lowest scores for the Highland Cavaliers of 81 and 76 in the two day event.

Tennessee Wesleyan outshot Milligan College by just two shots, 592-594, for the team title. UVa-Wise posted a ninth placing with a 676 final tally.

Individually, Zach Lindsey of Reinhardt captured the top finish with a final of 144 for the two rounds with Michael Alread of Tennessee Wesleyan and Daniel Foster of Milligan one stroke back.

Sturgill completed the Invitational in 27^th (157). Justin Stanley followed his teammate in 35^th (168). Sean Hensley (182) and Seth Colyer (201) were 41^st and 43^rd.

UVa-Wise will next compete in the King College Invitational on Oct. 5^th.
