
Waleska, Ga. - Starting three matches in less than three days, UVa-Wise completed its toughest leg of the three without taking a game. Reinhardt College swept past UVa-Wise, 3-0, in the Appalachian Athletic Conference women's volleyball affair.
The Eagles
(5-13/5-4 AAC) took the match from the Highland Cavaliers (5-14/2-8 AAC) with
game scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-18.
Megan Funk pounded 11 kills with five digs on the night for the Cavs. Mikaela Anders added seven kills, 18 digs and
three total blocks. Autumn Chisenhall
and Kayla Dougherty chipped in six kills apiece. Kelley Bumgarner handed out 25 assist to go
with two kills, 12 digs and a block assist. Ruth Hoover rounded out the effort
with 17 digs.
UVa-Wise will get right back to action in a 6:30 p.m. match Friday night at home against Union College.
