
Bluefield, Va. - UVa-Wise rebounded from an early season defeat to power past Bluefield College in three games on Tuesday night.
The Highland Cavaliers (7-15/4-9 Appalachian Athletic Conference) took a close 26-24 first contest before making the next two games, 25-20 and 25-15, over the Rams (5-16/4-5 AAC) easier.

Anders and Megan Funk paced the frontline with 17 and 11 kills. Anders added four digs and two block assists
with Funk having two digs. Kelley
Bumgarner handed out 36 assists to the front line along with six digs and two
kills.
Autumn Chisenhall contributed four kills, two blocks, an assist and an
ace. Ruth Hoover dug 17 balls and lined
a pair of aces. Courtney Coe and Sam
Brummette chipped in six and three digs.
UVa-Wise will now be off until next Monday, Oct. 19th for a 6:30 p.m. affair at Pikeville College.
