Big Stone Gap, VA-Powell Valley High School senior Todd Galyean has signed with The University of Virginia's College at Wise to continue his golf career. Galyean will be a part of the inaugural recruiting class by first year head coach Jim Kelly.

An accomplished high school player, Gaylean will look to continue his success at the collegiate level. While at Powell Valley, he was named to the All Lonesome Pine District golf team 4 times. Twice a runner up finisher in the LPD Tournament, Galyean placed 5^th in the 2009 Region D Tournament. His high school career culminated in 2009 as the Vikings claimed the Region D, LPD Regular Season, and LPD Tournament titles. The team finished 5^th in the state golf tournament. 

Todd is the son of Rick and Cathy Galyean. He intends to pursue a degree in history while a student at UVa-Wise.
