Milligan College, Tenn. -- Travis Berry dropped in the game's first two baskets as UVa-Wise led wire-to-wire on its way to an 81-76 men's basketball victory over Milligan College.

The Buffs tied the contest one time in the opening 20 minutes but trailed the Highland Cavaliers, 44-36, at intermission.  Milligan pulled to within a single point three times in the second stanza but UVa-Wise had an answer each time including scoring the game's final three points at the foul line in the last 11 seconds to win, 81-76.

Adam Hood and Travis Berry paced the Cavs (8-10/5-4 AAC) with 16 points apiece.  Norris Gaskins had the best all-around contest with 14 points by making all six field goal attempts and grabbed eight rebounds.  Kevin Perry added 11 points while Josh Jordan totaled 10 points and eight caroms.

Milligan (8-13/4-6 AAC) received 17 points off the bench from Torian Sitton.  Bryant Edwards hit for 13 points.

UVa-Wise returns home for a 4:00 p.m. affair against Bluefield College.
