Wise, VA- For the second consecutive week a Highland Cavalier was selected as AAC Player of the Week. To no surprise, it was Kristin Mullins once again. Mullins helped lead UVa-Wise to back to back wins over AAC foes Union and Milligan. Milligan was ranked 25th in the nation at game time while Union was receiving votes nationally. The wins put UVa-Wise at the top of the AAC standings and propelled the Cavaliers into the receiving votes column of the national poll.

Mullins (Clintwood, VA) continues to churn out double double performances. The sophomore collected 24 points while grabbing 13 rebounds in a home win over Union College. On the road at Milligan she was equally impressive; Mullins shot 7 of 11 from the field for 18 points while pulling down 12 boards.

The clutch performances continued for Mullins on Monday as she sank a free throw with no time remaining on the clock to push UVa-Wise past Bluefield 78-77 to help the Cavaliers' retain sole possession of first place in the AAC. During that contest, she put up a season high 25 points to go along with 9 rebounds. On the season Mullins leads the AAC in field goal percentage at 55.7%.

The Highland Cavalier Women will return to action on Wednesday for a 5:30 tip off on the road against Montreat.
