Montreat, N.C. - Travis Berry paced UVa-Wise to prevail over Montreat College, 86-76, on the road in Appalachian Athletic Conference men's basketball Wednesday night.

Trailing 4-3 in the early game, Berry made a jumper to give the Highland Cavaliers (10-10/7-4 AAC) the lead which they would never give up the final 22:06 of the contest. Berry added five of six free throws in the final 1:27 to help seal the road victory.

Berry hit six of 12 tries and seven of eight free throws including five of six in the final 1:27 for 20 points. Pance Kecev added 17 points with three triples. Kevin Perry and Adam Hood chipped in 14 and 12 tallies.

Dustin Harris and Christian Tonkins led the host Montreat (3-22/1-11 AAC) with 16 and 14 points.

UVa-Wise will host Tennessee Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon starting at 4:00 p.m.
