Wise, VA -   Mark Phillips has been selected Appalachian Athletic Conference Player of the Week.  Phillips led the Cavs to their biggest road victory of the year, 76-66, at Reinhardt College.

He was perfect on the night by making all six attempts from the floor and nine for nine from the foul line for a season-high 21 points. The junior came back with seven points on three of four tries to finish the week averaging 14.0 ppg on nine of 10 shooting and 10 of 10 from the foul line to keep UVa-Wise atop the AAC standings heading into the final week of play.

UVa-Wise will finish the regular season this week starting with a home contest against Reinhardt on Monday.  A Cavaliers win would clinch at least a share of the AAC Regular Season Championship.  UVa-Wise will play two road games to finish up the season, Wednesday at King and at Bryan on Saturday.
