Rome, GA -  The Highland Cavaliers are still searching for their first victory of the 2010 season as they fell in a double header to Berry 13-3 and 3-2 in baseball action on Saturday.  Luis Roa collected four hits for UVa-Wise in the double header while junior D'Andre Bussey shined on the mound.  Bussey threw five innings of three run baseball in his first start of the season.
 
Game One:  UVa-Wise fell behind early as Berry struck for three runs in the home half of the first.  The score would remain 3-0 until UVa-Wise picked up a single run in the fourth.  Berry however answered the run with a run of their own in the bottom half.  In the fifth UVa-Wise cracked the scoreboard again by plating two runs.  This time, the Vikings pushed seven runs across to push the game out of reach.  UVa-Wise was lead in the game by Roa who went 3-3, Cody Bentley and Bryan Hylton connected for rbi's.

Game Two:  In game two, UVa-Wise jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the visiting half of the first.  However, the Highland Cavaliers could not hold on to the lead as the Vikings answered back with a single run in their half of the inning.  The game would remain 1-1 until the third when each team would each score one run a piece in their half of the frame.  Berry would eventually take 3-2 lead in the fifth and use that run to hold on for the victory.

Cody Bentley lead Uva-Wise in game two with a 2-3 performance at the plate.  On the mound, D'Andre Bussey threw five innings of three run baseball.  Reliever Jonathon Cox came in and pitched a scoreless inning of relief.  UVa-Wise will be in action again at home against Alice Lloyd on Wednesday.  First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. for game one of the double header.
