Wise, VA - Bluefield College out slugged UVa-Wise in an Appalachian Athletic Conference baseball game on Sunday. The Rams won 21-10 in game three of the series to win the series two games to one. The game saw ten combined pitchers, 29 hits, and four errors. With the loss, UVa-Wise falls to 14-14 overall and 6-10 in the AAC. 

Bluefield jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the home half of the first. The Rams capped off the five run first with a three run home run off the bat of Jeremiah McMillan. UVa-Wise answered back with three in the home half of the first. Brian King doubled in three scoring Brad Robbins, Jonathon Cox, and Luis Roa. UVa-Wise took the lead in the second as they scored four runs.  Chaz Hall led off the inning with a double and scored when Jonahton Cox singled. One batter later, Luis Roa and Cox scored when Dusty Haigler lined a two rbi double. The Cavaliers picked up a fourth run when Haigler scored on a passed ball.

UVa-Wise maintained the 7-3 advantage until the fourth, Bluefield re-took the lead as they plated five in the inning. The Rams picked up rbi hits from Tony Singleton, Andrew Weaver, K.J. Soboloweski, and McMillian in the inning. The Highland Cavaliers tied the game up in the bottom of the fourth, UVa-Wise got an rbi hit from Chaz Hall while Brad Ricker doubled in two in the inning. From that point, Bluefield called on Donald Howell. Howell shut down UVa-Wise over the games final four innings allowing no runs on just two hits over four and a third innings. 

Bluefield scored eleven unanswered over the games final four innings to win the game 21-10 in eight innings. On the day, Jeremiah McMillian led the offensive attack. McMillian went 3-5 at the plate hitting a grand slam in the eighth inning part of his eight rbi day. Dusty Haigler, Brad Robbins, Tommy Meier, and Chaz Hall each collected two hits for UVa-Wise. The Highland Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday when host Southern Virginia. The double header is set to begin at 12:00 p.m.
