Wise, VA - The UVa-Wise women's tennis players Megan Buchanan and Kayli Bates were honored by the Appalachian Athletic Conference for their work on and off the court. Buchanan was named honorable mention all conference while also being named to the champions of character team. Bates was named to the academic all conference team while also being a member of the all conference honorable mention squad.

The Highland Cavaliers defeated Bluefield College before falling to Tennessee Wesleyan in the AAC Tournament.
