Wise, Virginia - Justin Hamilton has accepted the position of strength and conditioning coach at the University of Virginia's College at Wise. Hamilton was a three sport standout at nearby Clintwood High School before having a stellar career at Virginia Tech. Following college, Hamilton was drafted by the NFL's Cleveland Browns where he spent two seasons. Hamilton spent a third year in the NFL when he signed with the Washington Redskins in 2008.
Hamilton says:
"I'm excited to work with the athletes at UVa-Wise. I hope to improve the overall strength, conditioning, and performance of each athlete. I'm really looking forward to returning home and working with the members of the campus community."
Hamilton earned his bachelor's degree in consumer sciences from Virginia Tech in 2005. He currently resides in his hometown of Clintwood, Virginia.
