Bluefield, VA -  UVa-Wise split a volleyball double header with Bluefield College on Thursday night.  The Cavs took match one 25-21, 15-25, 25-22, 25-20 while Bluefield took the night cap 25-18, 25-17, 25-14.

In the day's first match,  UVa-Wise used a balanced to attack to earn the four game victory.  Mikaela Anders led the Cavaliers with 22 kills, three blocks, nine digs, and two aces.  Meanwhile, duo of Megan Funk and Brittany Simpson combined for 15 kills while Allie Smith handed out 45 assists in the victory. 

In the day's final contest, Bluefield was able to slow down UVa-Wise to post the three game victory.  For the Cavaliers, Anders produced nine kills, Simpson posted six kills, while Smith dished out 23 assists.

Following the double header, UVa-Wise stands at 1-5 on the season.  The Cavaliers will return to action tomorrow at Fisk University.
