Danny Rowland, who has four times been named Appalachian Athletic Conference coach of the year, will begin his 20th season as UVa-Wise men's tennis coach and his 18th as women's tennis Cavaliers' coach when his teams take to the courts in the spring of 2012.

The UVa-Wise women claimed the 2006 AAC tournament title and hosted the NAIA Region XII tournament before falling to event regional winner Indiana-Southeast.

Rowland is a 1984 graduate of then Clinch Valley College. The co-owner of Impressions Inc. resides in Wise, Virginia.
